From Humble Beginnings...

The House of Tartans are a family run kiltmaking firm who originally hail from Fife, on the east side of Scotland. Our history started in the 1960's with our head kiltmaker, Pat Wallace Pope continuing the craft. Also a highland dancer and qualified highland dancing teacher with her own school, the Wallace Highland Dancers who compete in dancing competitions across the UK.

Years of Mastering the Profession...

Kilt making has been passed down through the generations to provide us with  a deep understanding of Scottish traditions.

For more than a decade, the House of Tartans exhibited at agricultural shows throughout the country, winning many awards for the quality of our products & service, and frequently visited by a variety of Royal guests.

We are proud members of the Tartans Authority of Scotland, which acknowledges suppliers of fine highland goods and excellence in service.

The Present Day...

Through our depth of knowledge of Scottish history and the kilt making process, we often lead talks for groups such as the Womens Institute (WI) as well as local and national community groups and businesses.

The House of Tartans has now entered its fifth decade of life, and continues to supply Kilts throughout the United Kingdom and abroad.
